Neil has been a partner in the firm since 1995 and managing partner since 2012. He is responsible for a diverse client group including businesses that are in the construction and contracting industry, professional and technical services and supply chain management. Neil also provides professional accounting and reporting services to specialized not-for-profit organizations in the child care and organized labour sectors.
Neil graduated from Brock University and received his accounting designation in 1992. His engagements range from audits and reviews to taxation matters. He is dedicated to understanding the environments that his clients operate in to ensure that a fair, balanced strategy is in place. To do this, he works directly with the individual owners, managers and boards to ensure objectives are met. Neil is knowledgeable in the areas of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise and Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations as well as the taxation matters that have an impact on the client group.
Within the office, Neil is focused on the development of the firm, and its professionals, staff and future professionals. Outside the office, Neil has contributed his skills, time and experience to local charities. He also enjoys golfing, travelling, and music. Neil was born and raised in Pickering and has been a resident of Ajax since 1997.

Don has been a partner of the firm since 2001. Don specializes in providing accounting and assurance services as well as business advisory services to a diverse client group including not-for-profit organizations, owner-managed businesses and business professionals. Having a particular focus in the not-for-profit (NPO) sector, Don is very knowledgeable in the area of Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations. His NPO clients include non-profit housing corporations, housing co-operatives, condominium corporations, government funded service agencies, registered charities and pension plans.
He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and received his chartered accountant designation in 1997. Don also has extensive experience providing assurance services for other owner-managed businesses in a wide range of other industries throughout the community, such as product wholesalers and service-based companies.
As a lifelong resident of Durham Region, Don currently resides in Oshawa with his wife and two children. Enjoying a work/life balance, he particularly appreciates spending time with his family. He can often be found cheering on his kids at the local hockey arena.
In an effort to give back to the community in which he lives and works, Don is a volunteer board member of the Park Road South Community Home. He has also volunteered his time with Oshawa N.A.S.C. Hockey and the Oshawa Girls Hockey Association.

Elena is a tax principal with the firm. She works with private corporations in all major sectors of the economy with a specific focus on tax and financial reporting. In particular, she leads clients through business start-up including incorporations and registrations, corporate reorganizations, tax planning and succession planning. All of this work is founded on a significant understanding of accounting standards for private enterprise and tax principles facing individuals and corporations. To further serve clients, Elena is currently enrolled in the CPA In-Depth Tax Program.
Elena graduated from York University and received her accounting designation in 2010. In 2013, Elena received her CPA designation in the State of Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, Elena spent nine years in public practice in progressive roles assisting clients with internal control processes, financial reporting frameworks and growth strategies.
When Elena is not in the office, she enjoys running, music and cooking. Elena also served on the Board of Directors of Luke’s Place.

Louise is a graduate of Laurentian University and received her chartered accountant designation in 1997. She is an experienced and well-rounded professional, developed through her varied leadership roles in government and industry. Before joining the firm, she spent six years in government regulating insurance companies, mortgage brokerages and administrators, credit unions and co-operatives, six years in the financial institution sector, nine years in the Aerospace manufacturing sector and three years with Deloitte, a national accounting practice.
Specifically, Louise had the unique opportunity to work with insurers seeking approval to conduct or materially change their insurance business in Ontario from the Superintendent of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO). One of Louise’s key achievements at FSCO was the successful launch of the licensing regime for health service providers that bill insurance companies for statutory accident benefits. She particularly enjoyed the challenge to work closely with renewable energy co-operatives in their efforts to incorporate and then to raise capital. Louise mentored this new sector to educate them about the rules and regulations of the Co-operative Corporations Act. Certainly, the best triumph at FSCO was Louise’s efforts and her ability to deal with the client in her first language, French, to facilitate as the regulator of credit unions and caisses populaires, key mergers and acquisitions. These efforts have culminated in the creation of a francophone mega-caisse and the anticipated completion of the second francophone mega-caisse by 2020. She enjoyed while at Deloitte, working with a variety of clients covering manufacturers, MUSH entities, housing co-operatives and credit unions.
In Louise’s role as practice standards leader, it is her responsibility to ensure our clients receive the highest level of professional services possible. She is responsible for engagement quality control and policy compliance.

Jennifer is a manager of accounting and taxation services with the firm. She currently performs and manages assurance engagements, as well as other general practice items, including personal and corporate tax matters for private corporations in the construction and contracting sector as well as not-for-profit clients.
Jennifer was a co-op accounting student from Brock University and completed all of her work terms with the firm. Upon graduation, Jennifer successfully completed the final CA exams and received her accounting designation in 2014. Throughout her university career, Jennifer enjoyed volunteering with the Co-op department at Brock University, with the Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program at Brock University and at the local YMCA. Jennifer was honoured to have received the outstanding contribution to co-op award when graduating university.
Outside of the office, Jennifer is a member of the Board of Directors and the finance committee of the YWCA – Durham. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys wakeboarding and photography.

Lydia is a Senior Accountant with the firm. She currently manages and performs assurance engagements for clients funded by various ministries of the Provincial Government, including those in the health care, and social housing. Lydia’s technical knowledge and communication style ensure that our clients have meaningful and accurate information upon which to make quality decisions.
Lydia graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, and received her CPA, CGA designation in 2019. She is presently enrolled in the MBA program at Laurentian University. Lydia has a keen knowledge of Canadian accounting standards for both private enterprises and not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining the firm, Lydia spent 15 years in both public and industry practice in progressive roles assisting clients with audit, internal control processes, and financial reporting.
Lydia values the importance of being involved in the community, by volunteering for various organizations and events, including her Church in Scarborough.
